The Anita Borg Institute (ABI) recently named Argonne National Laboratory as one of its 2016 ABI Change Alliance companies. Argonne joins 59 other top-tier technology-oriented organizations that have made the important commitment to measure their technical workforce.

The sixty 2016 ABI Change Alliance companies represent more than 1.3 million workers, including more than 540,000 technical workers across industry verticals including Consulting, Finance, Insurance, Media, Research, Retail, Hardware, Software and Information Services. On average, 53 percent of the workforce at these companies is technical. ABI Top Companies is the only program building a broad national database of company and industry statistics around the gender gap in technical roles and offering a consistent benchmark for organizations to see where they stand relative to their peers.

The Anita Borg Institute is a social enterprise that recognizes the positive contributions of women in computing and advises organizations on how to improve performance by building more inclusive teams.
