Women in Science and Technology (WIST) will host a book discussion at the monthly First Friday Forum, Aug. 5, 12-1 p.m. in the Building 213 Cafeteria Private Dining Room.
The featured book will be “What Works for Women at Work” by Joan Williams, who recently spoke at a Director’s Special Seminar titled “Achieving Diversity and Inclusion: An Evidence-based Approach.” The discussion will focus on Chapter 14, “The Science of Savvy in 20 Lessons.” Those who attend also will receive a copy of a “Bias Interrupters Worksheet” created by Williams. All are welcome whether or not they’ve read the book.
The First Friday Forum (FFF) is a monthly networking brown-bag lunch focusing on matters of interest to Argonne scientific and technical women.
